June 2010 Arizona Trip

Day 1

We started out our trip to Arizona with a mechanical problem which put us a little behind the weather.

With the weather clearing and a change of planes, we were off. Britt and Dani sat in back while Cathy and Joe whooped it up in first class. We even got breakfast!

After arriving at PHX, we jumped in our car for a trip to Casa Grande to see Aunt Mary.

Then it was back tp the Phoenix area for dinner with a very large extended family at Buca di Beppo's to celebrate Cathy's birthday. What a blast!!

To round out a great evening, we wemt back to Dan and Cathy's house to open more gifts.

Day 2

Early morning tennis anyone?

Next, we were off to the Butter's for a little fun in the sun.

We took grandma Jean out to dinner that evening.

Them back to Dan and Cathy's for some game time.

Day 3

Our third day saw us back in the car for a drive to see Grandma Margaret and lunch at the Asylum in Jerome. This restaurant and hotel used to be thr Jerome hospital. After lunch we did a little shopping in town and even stopped by the house that Grandpa Frank grew up in.

After saying good-bye to Grandma Margaret for the evening, we headed off to Sedona. We stayed at the Hyatt vacation club. Wow! What a place, and the views are tremendous!

Day 4

After waking up and taking a little walk around the area.....

We set out for Flagstaff to see cousin Chris and his fiance, Alex. After a nice lunch and visit...

We headed back to Sedona, stopping to take lots of pictures in Oak Creek Canyon along the way.

Once back in Sedona, we set poy for a little shopping until cousin Cindy could join us.

Day 5

Our final morning in Sedona. The third picture is the view from our bed when we woke up.

We left Sedona and went back to Clarkdale to see Margaret again.

Then we headed to Scottsdale to see the Butter's again where the girls decorated onesies for cousin Steph's baby.

Day 6

Joe and Brittany's last day in AZ and the girls were getting pampered. Nails for everyone!

The cousins were able to hang out.

Joe and Dan got to hang out as well. They went to Desert Valley Auto Parts in Deer Valley. What an amazing collection of cars, all of them vintage.

Joe and Brittany went to the airport, but not before a stop at Honey Bears.

Day 7

A baby shower was held for Chris amd Alex.

Cathy got together for dinner with her teaching friends Debbie and Janis.
