December 2008

The morning of December 1st could have gone better. On the way to work, Joe was rear-ended in the Jetta. He's fine but the car needed close to $7000 worth of repairs. Jeff Booth at Booth's Hod Rod Shop (the same guy that did the Corvair) made the repairs. Looks good as new now!

Cathy and Joe took their anniversary trip to Las Vegas again this year. There was a little more exploring this year with a trip out to Red Rock Canyon. It was a beautiful place. Of course there was a little gambling involved as well as some star sighting(rapper, Nelly) at Planet Hollywood.

Dani and her DAPLE Quintet performed at Heritage Woods in DeKalb.

Dani also had her violin recital at NIU. She played very well.

Music Night was a huge success this year. Close to 70 people attended and there was live music all night!

The next morning, the DAPLE Quintet performed at Grand Victorian, Kindred Hospital and Borders.

Christmas Eve had Dani performing with the Youth Strings and Brittany and Dani sang. After a few family pictures, it was time for dinner at Johnny's with friends and home to hang out.

We were all very fortunate and grateful for such a wonderful Christmas again this year.

Finally, New Year's Eve was upon us. Dani and her friends went bowling before celebrating at midnight.
