June 2007
What a busy month June has been! Cathy's brother Dan, his wife, Cathy, and daughter, Sara, as well as Cathy's cousin, Joe, his wife, Debbie, and mother, Tillie, all came out to visit for Brittany's graduation. We took them on a walking tour of downtown Sycamore and had dinner at P.J.'s.
Graduation day started out at church with Danielle playing piano and Brittany singing with three other seniors.
Then all of the seniors from our church were recognized.
Followed by pictures of the graduate with family as well as Pastor Bill and the music director, Bev.
After a quick lunch it was off to the field house for the graduation ceremony!
Brittany's choice for her graduation meal was Joe's ribs. While the ribs were
being prepared, everyone relaxed and soaked up the sun.
After we cleaned up the table, there were a few gifts to be opened before Brittany
went out to a few other graduation parties.
The rest of us relaxed and played some games.
Joe, Debbie and Tillie went back to Dallas Monday but the fun didn't totally
stop there. Our Joe, our Cathy, Dan and Cathy went down to Chicago for a tour of the town. We went into the legendary
House of Blues, had a great meal at Harry Carey's (thanks Dan and Cath) and wandered around Buckingham fountain.
Tuesday, the whole group, minus Joe(work), went back into Chicago for a day of shopping followed by the play "Wicked".
Wednesday was Danielle's last day of school. It started out with her award ceremony
at the middle school.....
Continued with a trip to Milwaukee and Miller Park to see the Cubs play the Brewers.......

With a trip downtown to Usinger's, The Spice House and Mader's.........
And finally, off to Wisconsin Dell's where we rented a cabin on Lake Delton for
a couple of days of R & R.

We took a Dell's Army Duck tour...
Had lunch at the Moose Jaw....
And stopped by Devil's Lake before we took the car ferry across the Wisconsim River at Merrimac and home.
It was a great week and we hope we can do it again real soon.
After things calmed down a bit, Joe & Cathy went to South Elgin for a car
show that included this cool Citroen and a nice 67 Riviera.
Joe had his time in the spotlight with Father's day.
And what would June be without Cathy's birthday?
Finally, whew, Danielle and her friend Paige attended the Illinois Summer Youth
Music program at the University of Illinois in Urbana, IL. After a little quality time with the pets, the girls
were off to the U of I and dorm life. It was a very intense week that was very fun. Saturday, the girls performed
in a concert showing what they learned.
